Dr. Mario O. Barrett III has more than 20 years of progressive experience in educational instruction, program development, operations management, and leadership studies. He is the Founder and CEO of The Barrett Center for Leadership Development, LLC, a web-based consulting firm specializing in leadership and organizational development training.
Throughout his career, Dr. Barrett has contributed his management knowledge to organizations such as HB Real Estate Inc., Verizon Communications, and the U.S. Air Force—where, in the early 1990s, he was instrumental in creating an inventory control plan for maintaining a $4 million satellite communications system. He is a Founding Business School Graduate Professor for Chancellor University’s Jack Welch Management Institute in Cleveland, Ohio, and a Doctoral Dissertation Mentor at the University of Phoenix School of Advanced Studies. In the early 2000s, he also taught organizational behavior, team building, and motivational theory courses at Mercy College in New York.
Dr. Barrett is the author of two books: Leading from the Inside-Out: Using the Barrett Leadership Model (BLM) to Achieve Sustainable Happiness by Creating and Pursuing the Fulfillment of Your Life’s Vision, and Eleven Leadership Practices that Will Change Your Life.
At Strayer University, he serves as the Lead Faculty member for the Jack Welch Management Institute.
He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences from Walden University, a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Mercy College, and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Nyack College. He also holds executive certificates from Villanova University, the University of Notre Dame, and the Thunderbird School of International Management.
