Dr. Vince Osisek has more than 20 years of experience in the manufacturing, technology and education sectors and has held positions in software engineering, leadership, management, and teaching. At IBM, Dr. Osisek was instrumental in designing and developing product-data management systems for managing engineering changes and drawings. Later, as a project leader, he and team published technical papers, resulting in an awarded patent.
Prior to his current position as Campus Dean of the Columbia SC Campus, Dr. Osisek served as faculty member and Associate Campus Dean for the Huntersville NC Campus, and prior to that as adjunct professor at Strayer University and Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC). He also received Strayer University’s Provost Circle designation, awarded to faculty demonstrating exceptional commitment to excellence in instruction.
Also at CPCC, Dr. Osisek served as Director of Computer Training in the Business and Industry Services Unit, where he developed a strategic plan and expanded the geographic footprint of course offerings to the local community. In addition, he enhanced the website’s marketability, and moved the department towards online course offerings, technology certifications and mobile technologies. Dr. Osisek also served as an advisory board member of a local Credit Union.
He earned his Ph.D. in Information Technology and Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Rochester Institute of Technology.
