How to Attend a Commencement Ceremony
Associate's, bachelor's and master's students are eligible to participate in commencement if you are within TWO courses of completing your degree (not including the courses you are enrolled in at the time of the commencement ceremony). Interested students should register for commencement, note your confirmation number and order your cap and gown before the deadlines below.
You will need your confirmation number; it’s required to order your cap and gown.
2014 Commencement Dates and Deadlines
May 17, 2014 - Georgia Dome, Atlanta, Georgia, 10:00 a.m.
Registration and Cap and Gown Deadline: April 18, 2014
June 28, 2014 - Verizon Center, Washington, District of Columbia, 3:00 p.m.
Registration and Cap and Gown Deadline: May 30, 2014*
*The Washington, D.C. ceremony is limited to the first 1,800 student registrations. This ceremony will be 3-4 hours.

October 25, 2014 - Norfolk Scope Arena, Norfolk, Virginia, 10:00 a.m.

How to Receive Your Diploma
Diplomas are NOT provided at commencement. In order to receive your diploma, you need to complete the Degree Conferral Application once you have finalized registration for your final class(es).
To Submit your Degree Conferral Application:
- Login to your iCampus account.
- Click on Student Center and the My Academics tab.
- Click the Apply for Graduation link to begin the process.
Students Using Federal Financial Aid
If you have used Federal Financial Aid Stafford or PLUS loans to finance your education, you are required to complete Exit Counseling before you officially graduate. Exit Counseling should be completed before you submit your Degree Conferral Application.
