Letters of Invitation for Family Living Abroad

Strayer University will provide students with letters of invitation to send to their family members living abroad to document the purpose of their travel to the United States. Please complete the Degree Conferral Application and register to participate in a 2014 commencement ceremony before submitting your commencement visa letter application.

General Directions

From I-75 S:

R Exit 252 - Northside Dr. Cross North Avenue and Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd. The Georgia Dome will be on your left (about 3.3 miles).

From I-85 S:

Exit-249C Williams Street.

R Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd (first light after exiting highway).

L Northside Drive. The Dome will be on your left.

From I-75/85 N Connector:

Exit-246 Downtown, Central Ave. Take Central Ave. to Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.

L Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

R Northside Drive. The Dome will be on your right.

From I-20 E:

L Exit-56B Spring Street.

L Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

R Northside Drive. The Dome will be on your right.

From I-20 W:

Exit-58A Spring-Windsor Street.

R Spring Street.

L Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

R Northside Drive. The Dome will be on your right.

Parking

Parking is available in lots surrounding the Georgia Dome. The parking lots closest to the Main Entrance at Gate D are the Red and Orange Parking Lots. Parking map.

Public Transportation

The Georgia Dome is accessible by MARTA rail at the GEORGIA DOME stop.

From Ronald Reagan National Airport:

Take the George Washington Memorial PKWY north Take the I-395 North exit towards Washington As the road splits, bare left onto US-1 and follow to 14th Street Bridge Cross over the 14th street bridge and stay on 14th Street NW Make a right turn onto Constitution Ave Turn left onto 7th Street and Verizon Center will be on the corner of F and 7th Streets.

From Washington Dulles International Airport:

Turn onto the Dulles Access Road Dulles Access Road turns into I-66 East Continue onto US-50 East/I-66 East Take the US-50 East/Constitution Ave. exit Stay straight to go onto Constitution Ave. NW Turn left onto 7th Street and Verizon Center will be on the corner of F and 7th Streets.

Baltimore-Washington International Airport:

Follow Airport exit Turn slight left onto I-195 West Take the MD-295 South (Balt/ Wash Pkwy) ramp towards Washington Merge onto 295 South towards Washington Merge onto US-50 West Continue on 50 West as it turns into New York Avenue Turn left on 7th Street and Verizon Center will be on the corner of F and 7th Streets.

Parking

There are several public parking garages near the Verizon Center: Gallery Place parking garage on 6th Street NW; the public garage next door to Rosa Mexicano restaurant on F Street NW; and the public garage located near 7th and I Streets NW. There are at least 10,000 parking spaces located within several blocks of the arena.

The Metro is conveniently located directly underneath Verizon Center with metro stations at Gallery Place-Chinatown (Red, Yellow and Green lines). View the Metro Map.

From Washington D.C., Virginia and Points South:

Take MD 295 (B-W Pkwy//Russell St.) to downtown Baltimore. As an alternative take I-95 North. Use Exit 53 (I-395). Stay straight on Howard Street (do not bend towards Conway St.) you will see the Arena ahead three blocks on your right.

From North (York, Harrisburg, Central PA and N. Central Baltimore County):

Take 1-83 South to I-695/ I-83 towards Baltimore. Continue to Exit 23 (I-83 South, Jones Falls Expressway) Take I-83 South to downtown Baltimore. Turn right onto Lombard Street. Continue passing over South, Calvert, Charles the Arena is located on your right just beyond Hopkins/Sharp Street.

From Western MD and Points West:

Take I-68 (National Freeway), to I-70 E, to I-695 (Balt. Beltway). Merge right onto I-695 (toward Glen Burnie). Take 95 North towards Baltimore then 395 towards Downtown. Stay straight on Howard Street (do not bend towards Conway St.) you will see the Arena ahead three blocks on your right.

From Reisterstown, Westminster and Hanover, PA areas:

Take MD 140 (from Westminster area) or MD 30 (from Hanover area) to I-795. Take I-795 to I-695 (Balto. Beltway). Take I-695 towards Towson to Exit 23.
Take I-83 South to downtown.

From Northeast Maryland, Delaware and Points North:

South on I-95 through the Fort McHenry Tunnel; take Exit 53 at I-395.
Stay straight on Howard Street (do not bend towards Conway St.) you will see the Arena ahead three blocks on your right.

From Annapolis and Eastern Shores:

From Bay Bridge, west on US 50/301 to I-97. Continue on I-97/MD 3; at interchange with I-695 (Balto. Beltway), bear right to ramp leading to westbound I-695. Continue on I-695 to Exit 7 (MD 295/B-W Pkwy) to Exit 11 (I-95). Take either MD 295 North into downtown Baltimore or I-95 North to Exits 53 (I-395). Stay straight on Howard Street (do not bend towards Conway St.) you will see the Arena ahead three blocks on your right.
