Faculty Spotlight: Sharon Bridges

Sharon Bridges, J.D., adjunct faculty at the Jackson Campus, Miss., was named a 2011 Mid-South Super Lawyer based on peer recognition and her personal achievement in the law field. The award places Bridges among 5% of lawyers in Mississippi who have received this honor.

Bridges has been practicing law for 17 years and is currently a partner with Adams and Reese LLP in Ridgeland, Miss., specializing in commercial litigation and productliability for large corporations. She also serves as general counsel for the National Bar Association, the nation’s oldest and largest association of African American lawyers and judges.

Throughout her career, she has received multiple honors and awards, including the “Outstanding Woman Lawyer Award” from the Mississippi Women Lawyers Association. She was also named one ofthe “50 Leading Business Women” by the Mississippi Business Journal.
