To provide audiences with the best possible fan experience, Garrison has installed an impressive infrastructure.
 
NETWORK
Three critical devices comprise the network core, ensuring an efficient, fast and secure experience:
 
  • Two 6509 core redundant chassis with 10-gig uplink power the entire network and act as the main router for all network activity
  • 90 10-gig 3750 stackable switches enable highspeed connectivity and a seamless user experience
  • Cisco Adaptive Security Appliances firewalls keep data secure by creating multiple layers of security and guarding against external intrusion
 
INTERNET
Access to the Internet is critical for everyone in attendance, from the reporters who need to email stories to their editors to the fans who want to upload photos to social media sites:
  • Two Internet service providers ensure that Internet is always available
  • Cisco wireless infrastructure
PHONES
FedEx Forum features IP telephony, which combines two systems—a telephone system and a data system (video, messaging, email)—into one, meaning greater bandwidth efficiency, less maintenance and lower costs:
  • More than 500 IP phones with user-friendly displays and customizable features
  • More than 1,500 telephone lines
  • A broadcast bay that can dock six 18-wheeler broadcast network trucks from stations such as CBS, ESPN, Turner, WWE, HBO and Fox interfaces with the in-house broadcast of NBA and college games, and pay-per-view events.

  • Game-day photos
  • Post-game player interview conference links
