CIS 348-Information Technology Project Management

Prerequisites: CIS 106 or CIS 109

This course examines the processes, methods, techniques and toolsthat organizations use to manage their information technology projects in accordance with the Project Management InstitutesProject Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Emphasis isplaced on the methodology and project management software forinitiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing technologyprojects. Topics include various types of technologies to supportgroup collaboration and the use of resources from within the firm aswell as contracted from outside the organization.
