Strayer Adds Criminal Justice Degrees

In response to high demand, Strayer University now offers associate and bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice.

“We conducted a lot of research and found that many people were asking for criminal justice courses,” says Criminal Justice Department Chair Dr. Norman Flowers. “Criminal justice is a growing discipline across the country. It’s a great need.”

Strayer University offers four concentrations within the bachelor’s degree so students can focus on their strengths within the field. The concentrations include criminal justice administration; homeland security and emergency management; homeland security technology; and computer security and forensics.

The course content emphasizes the theory and application of law enforcement, as well as the prevention, adjudication and correction of juvenile and adult criminals. The criminal justice program focuses on ethics and leadership, evidence-based knowledge and analysis, and understanding the dynamic between society, law and government.

The degree will be available to students in many locations. Students should contact their local campus or the Online Campus for more information.
