More people are earning a bachelor’s degree than ever before, according to the Pew Research Center. In 2012, 31% of adults over the age of 25 had earned at least a bachelor’s degree, an increase from earlier years. Changing public attitudes about the importance of higher education may be encouraging more people to go back to school. In a 2009 survey, 73% of American adults agreed that, “in order to get ahead in life these days, it is necessary to get a college education,” Pew said.
