ATLANTA – May 16, 2013 – On Saturday, May 18, over 1,200 students will graduate from Strayer University during a regional commencement ceremony to be held at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga. Graduating students and alumni will receive awards and recognition for their outstanding achievements. Anthony Amey, an Emmy-award winning sports anchor and reporter for ABC affiliate WSB-TV, will deliver the commencement address.
“It is a pleasure to speak to such a talented group of individuals. Many new doors of opportunity are now opening up for these graduates who have demonstrated their ability to pursue their goals and achieve a great feat through determination and hard work,” said Amey. “In any game, the end result is important, but it is the journey to that point that shows someone’s true strength of character.”
Since 1892, when Dr. S. Irving Strayer opened the first campus in Baltimore, Strayer University has provided individuals with the opportunity to earn a quality higher education that prepares them for the dynamic business world. Today, Strayer University offers innovative, relevant and rigorous academic programs to working adults, first-generation college students and others who often do not have access to higher education.
