Learning Can Be Fun And Relevant

Dr. Angela Agboli-Esedebe encourages her students to share their own professional stories as a way to stimulate classroom discussions. “It’s my goal to create an educational environment that makes learning fun and relevant to the students’ lives,” says Dr. Agboli-Esedebe, who teaches courses in undergraduate and graduate political science, sociology, public administration, and business.
Dr. Agboli-Esedebe’s ability to intellectually engage students in the classroom earned her the University’s prestigious Faculty Award of Excellence. She accepted the award at Strayer University’s regional commencement ceremony in Norfolk, Va.
Outside of the classroom, Dr. Agboli-Esedebe is the executive secretary of Ogwashi-Uku Association USA Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the citizens of her native village in Delta State, Nigeria. Prior to joining Strayer University in 2004, Dr. Agboli- Esedebe taught courses at Howard University and at The George Washington University.
Dr. Agboli-Esedebe holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and a master’s degree in international law and diplomacy, both from the University of Lagos in Nigeria, and a Ph.D. from Howard University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Agboli-Esedebe is currently working on earning an M.B.A. from Strayer University.
