Dr. McCormack has been teaching humanities courses at Strayer University for the past five years. He received his PhD from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, and has taught courses in Irish, British, European, world, and American history at a number of universities in both Ireland and the Washington, DC area.
When it comes to teaching at the Arlington Campus, Dr. McCormack sees a unique opportunity: "The international student population means that students get a variety of perspectives and interpretations relating to the class material. Similarly, the large numbers of active and former service personnel give an added dimension to many of the topics that we discuss in class."
Dr. McCormack also serves as associate campus dean and enjoys visiting the many world-class museums and galleries that DC has to offer, which he often encourages students to take advantage of.
