- Why Strayer
At Strayer University, we help all students obtain a valuable education and change their lives, starting the day they enroll. You can choose between learning online or visiting one of over 70 campus locations as part of your educational program.
Strayer University is proud to be certified or accredited by five respected organizations, including the same accrediting agency as institutions like Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, Drexel, and Seton Hall.
Strayer University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104. 267-284-5000), which is one of the six regional accrediting bodies in the United States. The Commission is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
The University’s Master of Education (MEd) degree program is accredited by the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) through June 24, 2020.
With many eateries nearby, including Surin 280, Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen and Cracker Barrel, the campus offers a number of options for dining. It’s a short drive from the Summit Birmingham and Brook Highland Plaza.
The Birmingham campus is “over the mountain” and just south of 280 and 459 near the Summit, next to the Marriott and on the opposite side of 280 from the Grandview Medical Center.
