As a Strayer student, your tuition includes access to no-cost gen ed courses through Sophia. Take up to two online Sophia courses at a time, then apply them toward your undergraduate degree. When you enroll, each no-cost gen ed course you complete saves $1,525 on the total cost of your bachelor’s degree.

Pass three courses, earn one on us
For every three courses you pass, earn one on us, tuition-free, to be redeemed at the end of your program, with the Strayer Graduation Fund. Eligible bachelor’s students are automatically enrolled.

Begin with a new laptop
Enroll in any bachelor’s program and get a new laptop preloaded with Microsoft software to help you complete your coursework. Eligibility rules and restrictions apply.
- Enroll in a bachelor’s degree program.
- Read the laptop agreement form sent from your admissions officer via DocuSign.
- Sign and send the form back to agree to the terms and conditions of our laptop program.
- You’ll receive an email from our laptop supplier, Microtek. Respond to verify your shipping address.
Transfer credits and move ahead
Our simple transfer process rewards the work you’ve already done by letting you potentially transfer credits for up to 28 bachelor’s classes. In some cases, we can even request transcripts on your behalf. Get an estimate of how many transfer credits you have in three easy steps.

Credit granted does not apply toward Strayer University residency requirements. View the residency requirements and maximum number of prior learning credits allowed for your program. Developmental courses taken at another institution do not fulfill credit or placement requirements at Strayer University. Undergraduate students must fulfill placement requirements as outlined in the University catalog. Students in residence at Strayer University who choose to take a course at another institution in order to transfer the course into their program at Strayer University are required to get pre-approval from the campus dean. All courses are subject to Strayer University policies, including a ten-year limitation on courses in accounting and computer-related areas.
