This course prepares learners to achieve organizational goals through the evaluation and development of the organizational workforce. Topics covered in this course include recruitment strategies, workforce planning and assessment, staffing needs and processes, career development, succession planning, and supporting a diverse workforce. This course will enable learners to bridge the gap between attracting and retaining talent and implementing resources to meet organizational goals.
Analyze the process of creating a learning-based culture consisting of a system of shared values, which is essential for organizational success and sustained performance. Examine how organization-wide learning cultures are created, and develop the leadership strategies that support a learning culture.
Examine the theoretical foundation of the human resource management field and the evolution of human resource management, labor and law, including human capital. Analyze trends and issues influencing the development and application of these elements within contemporary organizations. Explore the effects of regulation on businesses.
This course helps students prepare for the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification exam and acquire critical thinking skills to demonstrate understanding of HR competencies. Students also gain knowledge in the SHRM technical competencies, including people, organizations and the workplace.
Analyze workforce management processes in light of their strategic importance. Examine the relationships between the traditional human resource functions and the various business functions so that efficiency and effectiveness are balanced and optimized. Review these processes and relationships in both the domestic and global environments now and in the future.
